The booking was easy, the service excellent. The sandwiches a little dry but the cakes and tea excellent and the champagne was very drinkable

It was a lovely experience. Just loved all the dainty cakes and delicious scones. Having a choice of ten was also nice as could experiment without risking too much outlay or dissapointment. The white tea was the best in my taste but my husband loved the peppermint. A nice way to start a weekend break.

A nice welcome at the Courthouse Hotel (Hilton) offered another two pots of tea and more food. When we had finished, we just accepted the tea. The whole venue and service was excellent certainly think this promotion was five star. Well done to all concerned!

Welcome by hotel staff and seated comfortably in the restaurant, we were served quickly with good variety of sandwiches, cake and choice of tea or coffee together with a glass of good quality champagne. Extra sandwiches were requested. No pressure to leave and staff pleasant throughout. Would have appreciated directions to find venue as map on Courthouse Hotel website was very sketchy.

Although the main hotel was lovely and warm, the small bistro section used for the tea was very cold. Everytime the door opened, a cold blast from the snow outside between blew in. Staff were charming and unlimited pots of tea available to keep us warm.

I found this particular promotion an enticing start to the week - and my wife and I really enjoyed the experience. The service we received was first class and the waitress most attentive and helpful. However, I felt that there could have been a few more finger sandwiches (we had two each) to balance out the meal. But this is a minor observation on an afternoon tea that was enjoyanle. Thankyou

"What a great way to chill...."
The booking process was very easy and simple with no problems at all. We arrived 10 minutes early, which wasn’t a problem, and were welcomed by friendly staff in The Carnaby and given of choice of tables. The Carnaby was very clean, pristine and modern, but a little on the dark side as it was very art deco with lots of grey and black styling. As soon as we’d chosen our table, they came over with 2 glasses of Champagne. I dont generally like Champagne but this was very nice. The menu didnt have any coffees listed, but plenty of choice of different flavoured teas. Requesting a coffee was no problem at all when we asked and the choice for this was quite vast too. We waited about 5 minutes for our hot drinks and then a couple of minutes later our cake stand arrived adorned with sandwiches and cakes. We then received another plate with four scones, two plain and two fruit, with jam and clotted cream! Wow, how filling?, in fact we couldn’t actually eat it all! We were there for over an hour, the staff were very friendly and efficient and weren’t trying to get rid of us, they were actually asking if we wanted more tea and coffee!!! Really nice treat!
