"Birthday present"

Well presented cake stand with good selection of cakes and sandwiches. Only criticism is that appropriate cutlery should have been provided, not dinner knives and forks, and a pot of hot water should always be provided with a pot of tea.
The beautiful location added to the whole experience

"Christmas gift"

Front off house staff sent us-to the restaurant but did not ask for voucher so had to go back to front of house staff to have our voucher stamped . There was a wait for afternoon tea when it arrived we were give a printed sheet with what was on it . The sandwiches was slightly stale and the voucher said it was a Welsh tea and would have bar a birth on it but did not come with . The voucher also said we would be in the lounge or library but was in the main restaurant .

"A lovely, relaxing treat"

Enjoyed a relaxing afternoon tea at Ruthin castle on a Sunday afternoon. We received a warm welcome from the friendly staff and were well looked after by our waitress Cara. The food was good, although I personally would have preferred more sandwiches. The three fingers of sandwiches we did receive were tasty, the scones were delicious and there was a variety of small cakes to enjoy. We had a nice stroll around the grounds afterwards and around Ruthin itself which was very pretty. A great gift!
