It’s never too early to start working towards your passion. With this Children’s Ten Week Movie Making Course, you’ll develop skills that can help you for years to come, all in a fun, creative setting.
Over 10 sessions, you’ll step into the roles found on professional film sets, including director, crew, actor and editor. You’ll take part in exciting filmmaking and workshop activities, all while working towards producing your own film. Guided by highly-trained filmmakers and artist educators throughout, you’ll learn how to express your ideas, viewpoints and creativity.
By the end of your course, you can share your production with your family and friends; and you’ll even get to celebrate your brilliant new talent with a special red carpet cinema screening that shows off your work!

Your voucher is valid for 9 months from the date of issue, while government restrictions apply in relation to Covid-19 we are offering free extensions on all experiences so you can take your experience when the time is right.
What happens on the day?
Your classes will run in termly blocks, following the academic calendar. You’ll be working in ‘Studio’ groups with people your own age. Each class is two hours long; during each session, you’ll take part in structured filmmaking and workshop activities, as well as undertaking work as part of a film crew on your own production.
With the help of highly-trained, DBS-checked filmmakers and artist educators, you’ll be learning the skills you need to further your filmmaking talents, and having fun while doing so. Taking part also helps to improve general soft skills including collaboration, time management, creativity and decision-making.
At the end of each term, you’ll share your production in a special screening presentation, so your family can see how you’re progressing and how your skills are expanding. Each year, there’s a fantastic red-carpet cinema screening, a celebration of your work and creativity.

The course is available in termly blocks, following the academic calendar and run three times a year:
Autumn - 21 September - 7 December
Spring - January - April - dates TBC
Summer - April - July - dates TBC
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 2 hours for each of the 10 sessions.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
How it works
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
