Make your grim journey across the city, taking in some of Edinburgh’s most iconic sites, all the while regaled with its most morbid history. See Edinburgh Castle, New Town, Grassmarket, Greyfriar’s Kirk, Old Town, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile. Hear tell of the horrors of yesteryear, from tales of torture and body-snatching Hare and Burke to witch hunts, and meet a few of the Ghost Bus’s more sinister characters as you learn of Auld Reekie’s dark past.
History, sightseeing, comedy theatre and the supernatural combine for a frightfully entertaining evening.

Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, while government restrictions apply in relation to Covid-19 we are offering free extensions on all experiences so you can take your experience when the time is right.
What happens on the day?
Your tour kicks off from Edinburgh Lawnmarket, outside Deacon Brodies Tavern.
From there, you’ll head out on your horribly entertaining tour of the town, lasting for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
- Minimum age: 5 (under 15s must be accompanied by a paying adult)
- Maximum number of passengers is 62
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
This experience is available seven days a week 19.30 and 21.00. An additional time of 18.00 is also available on Fridays and Saturdays.
From 20 to 31 October 2017 there will be additional tours as below:
Friday 20 October: 18.00, 19.45 and 21.15
Saturday 21 October to Friday 27 October (inclusive) : 18.00, 19.45, 21.15 and 22.30
Saturday 28 October and Sunday 29 October: 18.15 and 22.30
Monday 30 October : 18.00, 19.45, 21.15 and 22.45
Tuesday 31 October: 18.15 and 21.15
We recommend you book at least six to eight weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Tours will last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

How it works
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
