Eskdale Belle Carriage & Steam Train Experience with Sparkling Lunch for Four
Add to Basket
Head out on one of the country’s oldest narrow-gauge railways for a 14-mile return journey through the beautiful Eskdale Valley. You’ll be travelling in a private Eskdale Belle carriage along the foothills of some of England’s highest mountains, with a lunch hamper and a mini bottle of Prosecco each to enjoy on your return journey.
Having just celebrated its 102nd birthday as a 15in railway, the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway has an abundance of history running along its tiny tracks. Soak up spectacular views across the Scafell range, Ravenglass Estuary, and Eskdale Valley as you’re carried by a historic locomotive along the rivers Esk and Mite. With tasty food and drink, golden-age travel, and picturesque surroundings, this one’s all about the journey, not the destination.
What's Included?
- 14 mile return steam train journey through the Lake District on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway
- One of England’s longest and oldest narrow-gauge railways
- Breakfast roll with tea or coffee
- Bottle of Cava to share aboard the Eskdale Belle
- Lunch hamper for four to enjoy on the return train journey
- Personalised voucher and message card
What happens on the day?
On arrival at the Ravenglass Terminus you’ll receive your tickets at the office, before boarding your private Eskdale Belle carriage.
Whilst every effort is made to provide a steam train for most journeys, occasionally a diesel engine will be provided to ensure the trains all run on time. The journey to Dalegarth will take around 40 minutes.
Pick up your souvenir lunch hamper from Dalegarth and enjoy on the return journey to Ravenglass, complemented perfectly by a mini bottle of Prosecco each.
