You and a friend, family member or loved one can learn all about the world of aviation. With the Helicopter Flight and Concorde Experience you can take to the skies with a ride in a helicopter, followed by a trip to the National Museum of Flight. Find out all about these amazing heavy metal crafts that appear to defy gravity by taking to the air. View the aircraft collection and learn about the amazing mechanics that power these enormous beasts of the sky.
Your 6 mile journey in the helicopter will provide you with extraordinary views over East Lothian as you are propelled vertically into the air to heights way above any building you could climb to the top of. You will then enjoy a cream tea for two when you touch down back to solid ground, before making your way to the National Museum of Flight, where you can spend the rest of the day filling yourselves with knowledge and fun facts about aviation. You’ll see lots of aircraft that reside here, including the magnificent Concorde that retired in 2003. Discover the world of aviation with a Helicopter flight and Concorde experience.

What happens on the day?
On arrival you will meet the ground crew and receive a short technical and safety briefing, then it’s up, up and away as you accelerate vertically into the skies. Your 6 mile helicopter flight will take in the sights of the stunning Scottish countryside before enjoying a home-made traditional cream tea. You can then spend the rest of the day discovering the world of aviation at the National Museum of Flight including admission to the Concorde experience. Learn all about the history of the Concorde and the race to break the sound barrier, the design and the build of the world’s first supersonic passenger aircraft, what it was like to travel on this iconic aircraft as a traveller and a member of the crew and the retirement of the entire Concorde fleet.
You will also have the opportunity to enjoy other exhibits including the Boeing 707 and Vulcan Bomber on display at the museum.
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue
- Minimum age: 6 (under 12s must be accompanied by a paying adult)
- Minimum height: 5ft
- Maximum height: 6ft 2in
- Maximum weight: 18 stone
- You should not take part if you suffer from epilepsy, vertigo or are pregnant
- You should be in reasonable health, if you have any disability or illness that may prevent you from taking part then you must discuss this with you GP before booking
- Although spectators will not be able to accompany the voucher holder during their flight, family and friends will be able to view the take off and landing. They may also pay normal admission prices to enter the National Museum of Flight

Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before your expiry date as vouchers may not be extended beyond their expiry.
The experience is available on one weekend day per month from April to November.
We advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. All bookings are subject to availability.
Your 6 mile flight will last a minimum of 5 minutes, however you are welcome to spend all day visiting the National Museum of Flight.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
How it works
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
