Excellent relaxing weekend with my daughters
04 June 2017
Imagine the campfire crackling away, the low sun reflecting its amber light across a secluded lake. You’ve just poured yourself a drink. You’re camping except you never pitched a tent... Stop daydreaming and make the wistful a reality with a One Night Glamping Break at Stanley Villa Farm.
Your lakeside accommodation is fully insulated to keep the warmth in, while your individual fire-pit can keep the chills away outside. A stone’s throw from your pod, you’ll find the fully equipped Lakeside Lodge, home to kitchen facilities and plug points. Or you can dodge the lodge altogether and cook up a storm on one of the many BBQs – just don’t burn the sausages!
With plenty to do both on and off site and events throughout the year including fly fishing and country walks, there’s never been a better time to get your glamp on.
After a warm welcome from your hosts, you’ll be shown to your pod home for the night where you will find two quality beds and mattresses. Perfect for a couple, but your pod can accommodate up to additional 2 children (or 3 small children) if required. You’ll need to bring any additional airbeds/ roll mats you need plus your bedding, whether that’s cosy sleeping bags or your favourite double-duvet, plus sheets and pillows.
Children are welcome at an additional £5 each per night and the pod can sleep two children (or three small children in a double airbed). Children under three years old go free. Well behaved dogs are welcome at a fee of £5 each.
The nearby Lakeside Lodge houses your kitchen amenities - kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer – and all the complimentary tea and coffee you can drink. The lodge is also home to three sparkling clean wet rooms, with toilets and hot showers, and power sockets to keep all your electronics charged and ready for use. There is also an additional toilet block nearer to the pods.
Make full use of the outdoor cooking opportunities with one of the free to use BBQs on site, and each pod also has its own fire-pit, with logs and firelighters available for purchase.
There’s plenty to see and do onsite and in the surrounding area, including fly fishing, country walks and pubs or venture into Blackpool for even more excitement. For kids, there’s even a ‘Mini-Pod’ packed with fun toys and games to enjoy.
