"A Day of Chocolate"

Great day. Easy to find and quite a pleasant walk from the underground. Very well organised with a nice atmosphere. You are within a group but work individually; I thought it would be a little awkward but you ended up forgetting you were with strangers. Very informative regarding the chocolate making process and fair-trade. Unfortunately the weather was a little warm so things did not set. Only reason this is not 5 star is because the making part was more decorating. Would recommend to others.

"Chocolate making workshop"

Went to the Manchester workshop at the Britannia Hotel. Well organised with 2 ladies instructing us.
The day was exactly as described on the website.
Had a talk about the origin of chocolate, made chocolate buttons and truffles and decorated them.
It was very tempting to taste the chocolate but for hygiene reasons that's not possible. Some of the decorations were not available but we got by. Just wish I had realised to make more as whatever we made we took home.

After a slow registration process, we were ushered into a room with 10 others and a teacher. Once the experience got going it was great fun and I learnt a lot about chocolate. We were even able to take a few bits home with us. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon. It was interesting to hear about the history of chocolate and how it is made. We had fun decorating our giant chocolate buttons and being creative with our truffles. It was a nice touch to be given packaging materials to be able to gift wrap our creations. We came away with smiles on our faces!

"Very enjoyable afternoon!"

I attended this workshop last week and had a brilliant time. We learned plenty of history surrounding chocolate and got to make our own professional looking (and tasting!) chocolates. Would definitely go again, maybe to one of the different workshops like luxury for something different. Really recommend it - perfect for presents for birthdays or xmas.
