A very informative tour followed by a massive afternoon tea, which was relaxed with masses of space, so not at all cramped.

There’s a history of tea being taken at the Royal Albert Hall, with the first tea party taking place just over 100 years ago. You can continue that tradition at the Hall’s curved Verdi restaurant, where you’ll indulge in a feast of sweet and savoury treats. You’ll each get to enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, desserts, and a pot of refreshing tea.
Along with your Afternoon Tea you’ll also be able to take a tour of one of the most famous venues in the world as it prepares for the next amazing performance. Journey from the front of the Hall through to the spectacular auditorium, including the view from the Gallery as well as an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Royal Retiring Room.
You’ll enter the Royal Albert Hall through Door 12, exchange your voucher for your tickets at the Box Office and wait at the Tours meeting point to take your pre-booked Grand Tour. Once the tour is ready to leave, you’ll begin your journey through this amazing Grade I Listed building, moving through the auditorium, gallery, Royal Retiring Room and all the storied corridors in-between, learning about The Hall’s rich history.
After the tour, you’ll make your way up to the first floor to take your seats in the Verdi restaurant, where you’ll be served your delicious afternoon tea. Treats include a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, sweet desserts and a pot of tea chosen to suit your tastes.
