Elegant, aroma, nose, vigorous… all words relating to wine, but do you know what they mean? This Saturday Introductory Wine Course is ideal if you do and even better if you don’t because the two of you will spend the day with an experienced wine connoisseur who will guide you through 14 different wine tastings.
You’ll learn how each wine is made and how to read its label. You’ll discuss any faults you can taste within the wine, how the variety matures and how to serve and store it. You’ll be advised on which foods match which wine and how you should choose your bottles to accompany a meal in a restaurant. You’ll even learn how to make choices when buying wine from the supermarket. In between tastings you’ll be provided with water and biscuits to freshen your palate and you're sure to feel like a pair of real sophisticates by the end of your workshop.
On arrival at your workshop venue, you'll both join your wine tasting group for the day and meet your experienced wine guide. During your day you will taste an impressive 14 different wines and with each one there will be a discussion. You’ll have one hour for lunch which will not be included but there will be dining areas onsite and plenty of places to visit outside of the venue.
By the end of your experience you should feel more confident about your wine choices and knowledge.
