Excellent day out in lovely sunshine
The experience was amazing. The train was lovely and old and my husband and I sat in a first class carriage watching the world go by. The staff were very helpful and showed us were to go and the signal man was delightful, blowing his whistle and flag like a true train enthusiast. It was a shame that the steam train was being sorted out and that we could only go on the diesel. The villages we passed through were so pretty, I think we took over 100 photos of the day. A day to remember.
My grandmother has booked this day for Christmas for me and my partner but we were very disappointed to turn up on the day to find out the steam train trip my grandmother paid for was actually just going to be on a diesel train. Very annoyed as were other people
