Throughout the year the expert guides bring this extraordinary open-air theatre to life in a 50 minute guided tour, with colourful stories of the 1599 Globe, the reconstruction process in the 1990s and how the building works today as an imaginative and experimental theatre space. Take a seat ‘within this wooden O’ – listen, absorb and ask questions as the secrets of the Globe unfold.

What happens on the day?
You'll enjoy a 50 minute guided tour, with colourful stories of the 1599 Globe, the reconstruction process in the 1990s and how the building works today as an imaginative and experimental theatre space.
As the Globe is a working theatre, tour times vary due to performance schedules or sometimes take place during rehearsals (giving you an exclusive look at the rehearsal process!).

Shakespeare’s Globe is open all year round Tuesday to Sunday. Some date exclusions, such as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day may apply. Please contact the Shakespeare’s Globe Ticketing & Sales Team, who will be able to provide you with up to date opening hours and tour times.
Shakespeare’s Globe is a working theatre, tour times may vary due to performance schedules or sometimes take place during rehearsals (giving you an exclusive look at the rehearsal process!). Your tour guide will transport you back to Elizabethan London highlighting interesting historical landmarks of the area.
Please allow approximately 1 hour for the full experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
