Lovely food and very helpful staff
Excellent, but hard to find our way around Cricket St Thomas Hotel
The couldn't have made it easier for us to visit, the staff were friendly and helpful, the view of the humber bridge and being able to see across humber was wonderful (lovely sunny day when we visited). My only criticism was too much food - all those wonderful sandwiches and scones just had to be eaten! Could have done with bringing a friend to help us eat it all. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
We had a lovely run up to the Cotswolds. The manor was absolutely beautiful with the most fabulous gardens (where we had our tea) and glorious views over the countryside. The staff (mostly young men) were so polite and nothing was too much trouble.
We were able to have 'tea' in the lounge overlooking the grounds. It came on a tiered plate stand with a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with jam & clotted cream & a selection of cakes/ mini-desserts incl. lemon cheesecake, cream filled victoria sponge & choc squares. We were offered plenty of tea/ coffee top ups. I would have liked to be given a choice of sandwiches and have had the food items explained when the cake stand was presented. Overall a pleasant experience with plenty of food!
